About This Role
As the leader of our Community Directorate, you will contribute to the vision of making the community a vibrant, inclusive, and active place. You will empower your team to make a positive impact, and we are looking for someone who shares this passion.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the Sports Strategy while optimising facilities to cater to a diverse range of sporting needs.
- Develop policies and guide asset management to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders and promote a culture of collaboration and respect within your team.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve the best outcomes for the community.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential skills include:
- Tertiary qualifications in Sport Management or a related field.
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing sport strategies and policies.
- Exceptional communication skills with a talent for report writing and presentations.
- Strong emotional intelligence and collaborative spirit, capable of building meaningful relationships.
- A proactive problem-solver with the ability to analyse data and develop innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Proficient in managing competing priorities and adapting to changing environments.
