**An exciting opportunity exists **for a creative and caring Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator** to join and lead the Leisure & Lifestyle team **in our award-winning residential aged care facility, Bella Vista Gardens, located in Sydney Hills District.**

Bella Vista Gardens is a carefully considered modern residence that offers all of the comforts of home, in an elegant, architecturally designed and very personalised environment.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Director of Care Services, this is a full-time position, where you will manage and develop the Leisure & Lifestyle program at our residence. Usually Monday to Friday, you may need to come in on special occasion days to support your program.

You will:

- provide activities for residents that allow and encourage them to participate in their community, support social and personal relationships and enable them to do things of interest to them.
- develop a daily activity program for residents which takes into consideration their needs, preferences, and capabilities, and is sensitive to the diversity within the resident community.
- develop the program according to the Leisure & Lifestyle budget and manage activities to ensure the budget is met.
- manage and motivate your direct reports (Leisure & Lifestyle Officers).
- live the Cranbrook Care culture and work according to the Cranbrook Care values.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will be experienced, creative and energetic, and committed to delivering an exceptional level of customer service throughout all your duties with demonstrated knowledge and skills in contemporary diversional therapy services.

You will:

- be able to work autonomously and as part of a team with highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
- have a kind and compassionate nature with the ability to deal with sensitive issues in a professional, respectful and caring manner.
- be an excellent communicator with second-to-none customer service skills.

**To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes**:

- Certificate III/IV in Leisure and Lifestyle, Diversional Therapy qualification or equivalent experience
- 1+ year experience in a diversional therapy role working in Aged Care and/or people with disabilities
- Demonstrable experience in developing, coordinating, and implementing a Leisure & Lifestyle activities program
- Fluent in spoken English and literate in the English language
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in contemporary aged care services
- Sound understanding and commitment to person-centered care
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Aged care experience is preferred
- Experience with regulatory compliance and quality improvement ideal.
