High-Quality Road Designer and Civil Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced road designer and civil engineer to join our Sydney-based team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality designs, managing design processes, and working closely with clients and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of experience in road and civil design, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or equivalent) for road, drainage, and pavement design. You will also have a strong understanding of TfNSW and local government standards, as well as excellent communication skills and client-facing capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver detailed designs for road, drainage, and pavement projects
  • Manage design packages, ensuring compliance with TfNSW and council requirements
  • Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, including staging, bridges, and associated civil works
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to clarify requirements and resolve design issues
  • Undertake design management, QA processes, and coordination with drafters
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters

Requirements
