Job Description:

A rare opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and results-driven Senior Travel Operations Manager to join our leading global travel brand in the APAC region. Reporting to the US-based Chief Operating Officer (COO), this pivotal role will focus on enhancing booking flows, driving sales initiatives, and ensuring exceptional customer and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Oversight of daily operations across the APAC region
    • Identification and implementation of operational improvements in booking processes and customer support
    • Establishment and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency
    • Recommendation of changes to policies and establishment of procedures that positively impact the immediate department and company-wide initiatives
  • Sales Growth & Support:
    • Ensure corporate strategic sales plans and support are in place to enhance market share and revenue growth
    • Collaboration with the business development and marketing teams to ensure campaigns are executed with local markets
    • Analysis of data, identification of trends, and strategic decision-making to optimize team and departmental performance
  • Customer Experience:
    • Ensuring a seamless customer journey from booking to travel experience
    • Addressing customer feedback and implementing solutions to enhance satisfaction
  • Collaboration with Global Teams:
    • Close collaboration with global departments, including marketing, product development, and operations
    • Sharing best practices and insights from the region to contribute to global strategies
    • Participation in regular meetings to align regional goals with global objectives
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Direct supervision and performance management of junior to senior-level individual contributors, team leads, supervisors, or individual contributors
    • Setting goals, monitoring progress, and evaluating the work of managers and their teams
    • Providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to foster the growth and succession of talent
    Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in a senior management position in the travel and tourism industry, driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency. A strong understanding of booking systems and CRM, as well as experience working within a global matrix reporting structure, is essential. Additionally, flexibility to travel to the USA 2-3 times a year is required.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
