Technical Support Specialist

Job Description:

The role of a Technical Support Specialist is to provide expert technical assistance in resolving customer technical issues, including troubleshooting and repairs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and strong communication skills.

The job requires a thorough working knowledge of complex technical systems and products, as well as the ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing equipment pre-staging, installations/commissioning, remedial repair activities on customer sites, and preventative maintenance as required.

In addition, the Technical Support Specialist will need to recognize situations requiring a service call or fault to be escalated and follow proper Escalation Procedures. They will also provide support required to close service calls promptly within SLA and to the satisfaction of the customer.

Health and safety are crucial aspects of this role, and the candidate must adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Recognized technical qualification
  • Current drivers' license
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical support role handling complex technical issues
