About the Role

Budage Pty Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced People & Development Manager to join our dynamic team in Sydney. As a key member of our P&D team, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of effective people strategy, initiatives, and operations across the partner and employee life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic business partnering to stakeholders, including the Sydney Partner in Charge, on all people matters to support the achievement of the Firm's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Lead the P&D team to deliver high performance and contribute to the development of the National P&D team.
  • Develop and implement people strategies, initiatives, and operations to drive business outcomes and improve employee engagement.
  • Manage employee relations, succession planning, culture and engagement, workforce planning, diversity and inclusion, performance management, reward and recognition, policy design and interpretation, health and wellbeing, and reporting and key business metrics.
  • Collaborate with other P&D Managers and the broader P&D team to achieve business objectives and improve employee experience.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years' experience in a human resources manager-level role with fine-tuned business and financial acumen and the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and drive high employee performance, as well as coach and mentor team members.
  • Capability in planning, organising, managing, and delivering projects in a timely manner.
  • Experience in advising on and managing employment relation matters with a strong degree of autonomy.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Technical capabilities in Microsoft suite and people metrics, as well as desirable experience using Workday HRIS.
  • Experience in legal industry is highly desirable (or alternatively professional services).
