Job Title: Project Assurance Manager

The Project Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective governance and delivery of projects for the Fund. This key role involves providing assurance services including project establishment guidance, best practice governance, and stage gate reviews to support project delivery across the Fund.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Project Sponsors and Delivery teams, offering guidance and challenge to projects where needed.
  • Maintain the Fund's Project Delivery Framework, working with other Practice Senior Managers to manage upkeep and continuous improvement.
  • Develop an annual project assurance plan based on the Fund-wide project portfolio to ensure suitable assurance activities are conducted.
  • Nurture internal relationships across all levels of the Fund, enabling collaboration with sponsors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Participate in Project Steering Committees to ensure governance is effective.
  • Operate within the Fund's Policies, Standards, Procedures, Decision Registers, and delegated authorities.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant legislative and organisational requirements impacting project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree (or equivalent) in project management, risk management, business, finance, or IT from a recognised institution.
  • Certification in project management methodologies (preferably Agile, PMP, MSP, PRINCE2, PMBOK, or similar).
  • At least 7 years' experience in professional services, preferably in superannuation, insurance, banking & finance, or consultancy.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, responsible for provision of assurance or audit services with proven ability to deliver outcomes and facilitate effective working relationships and communication.
