Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a Project Governance and Contract Management Specialist to oversee the delivery of capital works projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, managing key performance indicators (KPIs), and establishing outcome-based contracts.\

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor third-party vendors for compliance with government policies and standards.\
  • Manage KPI tracking, benefit realization, and contract establishment processes.\
  • Assess procurement plans, claims, variations, and Extension of Time requests.\
  • Perform various administrative duties related to data recording and financial management.\
  • Develop strategies to address emerging issues and risks.\
  • Engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and clients to achieve agreed outcomes.\
  • Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.\
  • Analyse internal and external data inputs to produce meaningful reports, briefs, and recommendations.\
  • Communicate project parameters, including budgets, schedules, and scopes, to business partners and internal clients.\
  • Ensure timely completion of administration duties related to data recording and financial management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, governance, procurement, and contract performance management from a private/public construction sector background. A tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, building management, construction, or architecture will be highly regarded. The candidate must demonstrate ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders, analyse internal and external data inputs, and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
