The OpportunityThe Victorian Government is investing in the upgrade of the Eastern Freeway, and we are part of the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance. This project will bring significant benefits to the community, including improved travel times, enhanced public transportation, and new pedestrian and cycling connections.
As part of this alliance, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the commercial success of the project, working closely with our client and stakeholders to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in implementing and managing the procurement plan to support the project schedule.
- Manage contractual disputes and risk mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with the client on commercial matters related to the project.
- Develop and mentor your commercial site team to ensure they meet the commercial requirements of the project.
- Oversight of team applications for payments with the client.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting and forecasting of project costs.
- A tertiary qualification in Commercial Law, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering.
- Recent experience in a Commercial Manager position on major public infrastructure projects in Australia for Tier 1 construction contractors.
- PREFERRED: Experience working with Managing Contractor arrangements.
- You will have a results-driven, collaborative leadership approach with high technical and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
