Home Rehabilitation Assistant

We are seeking an individual to support patients' recovery journeys from hospital to home as part of our innovative home rehabilitation team.

This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives by providing specific therapeutic interventions under the direction of allied health professionals.

You will be responsible for assisting with installing prescribed equipment, self-care tasks, and components of rehabilitation programs such as exercise, mobility activities, or therapeutic groups.

About this role:

  • Provide specific therapeutic interventions under the direction of AHP staff.
  • Assist with installing prescribed equipment, self-care tasks, and components of rehabilitation programs.

About you:

  • Must possess or be undertaking a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patient response to therapies and report to the supervising AHP.
  • Assist patients and carers with telehealth equipment.
  • Prepare patients for therapy and assist at the conclusion of therapy.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, assisting with patient therapy and handling related equipment and devices.
