Disability Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support services to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity based in our Day Program in Haberfield, Sydney. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalized plans that promote independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and assistance as needed
  • Support clients to participate in individual interests, hobbies, and relationships in the community
  • Advocate for and assist clients and their families in accessing community services and resources
  • Complete accurate and timely client documentation and case notes
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications (minimum Cert IV in Disability or Individual Support)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of and commitment to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) principles and codes of conduct
