About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring commitment to safety, chain of responsibility, and compliance with licensing protocols.
  • Provide transport operational oversight, ensuring appropriate operational KPIs are developed and achieved to meet contractual requirements.
  • Ensure effective handover between operational teams onsite.
  • Identify, evaluate, and address transport risks focused on continuous improvement.
  • Effectively manage and develop direct reports and operational teams.
  • Partner with customers to facilitate organic growth.
  • Ensure systems and resources are fully utilized to provide confidence to customers.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in the Rail industry is highly regarded.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Ability to confidently lead, drive outcomes, and develop diverse high-performance teams.
  • Understanding of financial drivers, cost control, and operational budgeting.
  • Strong work ethic with a passion for transport/logistics and commitment to continuous improvement.
