About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Manager to join our Pricing & Practice Economics Team (PPE) at Allens Operations Pty Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the firm's commercial and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of pricing infrastructure for the firm.
  • Support bid teams with pricing and negotiation strategy for panels and tenders.
  • Review commercial terms and manage client pricing arrangements, liaising with clients' procurement and legal operations teams where required.
  • Assist partners and lawyers to respond to requests for estimates or proposals, including designing and implementing alternative fee arrangements.
  • Use pricing tools and financial models to assess profitability and support and influence partners with pricing decisions.
  • Support the Innovation & Digital Solutions team in pricing of legal technology services and products, implementing strategic initiatives that drive improvements in efficiency, creating positive outcomes for clients and the firm.
  • Assist with the management, training, and development of Pricing Managers and Pricing Analysts.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a background in law firm pricing or pricing in another professional services environment. You will also possess strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels of an organisation and influence outcomes.

You will have experience in bid and tender processes, and dealing with procurement and/or legal operations. Additionally, you will have experience managing others or a team, and a genuine desire to learn, grow, network, and mentor others.

Proficient Excel skills, with the ability to analyse raw data and draw out insights, are essential. You will also be able to think critically, solve problems, and be comfortable with complexity, ambiguity, or uncertainty.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate, are required. Strong presentation skills and proficiency in PowerPoint are also necessary. Finally, you will have excellent time management skills, with the ability to co-ordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
