In this role, you will join our passionate and values-driven Sales & Customer Solutions team as a Business Development Manager (Produce). Your primary objective will be to grow the produce channel (Fruit & Veg) revenue with new customers and new platforms in your assigned location (QLD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand the customer base by engaging potential clients through cold calling, industry research, and networking at events.
  • Manage the sales funnel using Salesforce to track opportunities, review progress monthly, and follow up on leads from our partnerships and marketing efforts.
  • Extend the current offering by meeting with key decision-makers, understanding their requirements, and proposing solutions that highlight the advantages of CHEP's products.
  • Innovate and grow by exploring new markets and applications for our products, driving growth through innovative supply chain solutions.

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate has a completed relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Solid working history in a sales/customer-facing role, preferably within fresh produce.
  • Ability to engage customers to accurately identify business needs/problems to solve.
  • Ability to close deals quickly and effectively with win-win outcomes.
  • Ability to engage with senior decision-makers and business owners, building trusted partnerships.
  • Basic computer literacy – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce.
  • Sound commercial acumen.
  • Ability to articulate the features & benefits of a product and service.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to achieve results.
