**Job Title:** Health and Injury Management Advisor

About the Role

The role of the Health and Injury Management Advisor is crucial in ensuring the well-being of staff within our organization. This position will provide expert occupational health and injury management advice to support the operations of various teams, including Health & Safety, Rail Safety, People and Culture, and Business Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on fitness-for-work compliance, inherent requirement determinations, and reasonable workplace adjustments.
  • Use allied health expertise to consider clinical discussions with treating health practitioners and review medical reports for work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Oversee administrative functions to meet organizational legal return-to-work obligations.
  • Partner with the business to apply health and wellbeing knowledge in procedure writing and reviews, identifying trends and implementing initiatives to reduce and prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in a related field, such as occupational health or nursing.
  • Proven experience in providing expert advice on occupational health and injury management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
