Occupational Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Health Specialist to lead the implementation of our OHS plan and promote best practice initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, managing workplace incident reporting, hazard identification, and risk assessments. They will also oversee WorkCover and Return-to-Work processes, liaising with insurers, medical providers, and staff.
As a key member of our organization, the Occupational Health Specialist will:
- Lead the implementation of our OHS plan, ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Act as Secretary to the OHS Committee and the Child Safety Committee, managing agendas, minutes, and reporting to senior management and the board.
- Partner with managers to coach, guide, and hold them accountable for safety outcomes in a positive, constructive way.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum Diploma in OHS (or higher) and be able to build trust and rapport easily. They must also be self-sufficient, able to thrive with autonomy and set their own agenda. Additionally, they will need to be organized, balancing priorities effectively and meeting reporting deadlines.
