Job Title: First Nations Development Lead

This role plays a crucial part in the implementation of funding programs and initiatives for the screen sector.

  • The position has a dual focus on talent development across NSW, with a specific emphasis on First Nations storytellers and content creation.
  • The role contributes to the development, planning, and budgeting of programs aligned with government priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage administration and data systems for funding programs to ensure efficient data collection and records management.
  2. Develop and maintain a network for NSW First Nations practitioners, providing them with regular updates on screen industry opportunities.
  3. Track and support the development of NSW Above-the-Line and Below-the-Line talent, contributing to career pathway programs and sector growth.
  4. Prepare timely reports, communications, and briefs to meet agency and Government requests.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A good understanding of the screen sector combined with experience in funding assessments and related contracts administration.
  • Sound knowledge of database/information and record management systems.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of First Nations society and culture.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to adapt your communication style to various stakeholders.
Requirements:

This is an identified role under Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role.
