About the Role:

\

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indigenous Cultural Ambassador to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cultural products that meet visitor demand while delivering on Aboriginal Advisory Councils Pathways Strategic plan and BMCC's Statement of Recognition and Commitment.

\

The successful candidate will have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with local First Nations communities and stakeholders. They will also be able to provide expert advice and guidance on cultural matters, ensuring that our organisation is culturally responsive and inclusive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Develop and implement cultural products that meet visitor demand, in line with Aboriginal Advisory Councils Pathways Strategic plan and BMCC's Statement of Recognition and Commitment.\
  • Mentor and support local First Nations creatives and artists in business setup and development of product, packaging and pricing.\
  • Negotiate and agree on the volume and price of products, place orders, display and promote indigenous visitor products.\
  • Assist in seeking funding through state and federal grant programs to facilitate the development of First Nations cultural opportunities.\
