Policy and Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Engagement Specialist to join our dynamic government department.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with business stakeholders, as well as ensuring that projects deliver value aligned to business needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven professional to take on a challenging role that requires expertise in Agile delivery, strategic relationships, and effective communication.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate project planning and implementation.
  • Manage allocated project resources to execute deliverables and ensure project success.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and executives to highlight project successes, risk factors, and provide solutions as required.
  • Support, mentor, and enable project staff in their professional development within the project context.
  • Deliver projects in line with methodologies and perform additional duties or assume responsibility for functions as directed from time to time.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Agile delivery with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of Government.
  • Demonstrated experience assisting project teams to mature their Agile ways of working.
  • Experience delivering high-quality written communication, including Executive briefings at SES levels.

Additional Information

You will have the opportunity to work onsite within an office location. Relevant experience in Enterprise Service Management and Business Process Reengineering projects would be highly regarded. Knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice is also desirable.
