AWS Data Center Engineering Operations Trainee

The Data Center Engineering Operations Trainee will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of an Amazon Data Center, including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.
This fixed-term role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data center operations and contribute to the success of Amazon's Data Center Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
- Monitor and maintain performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed.
- Contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
- Assist with the installation of racks and provision of power and cooling within constraints.
- Participate in routine maintenance and emergency services for critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, and building monitoring systems.
- Assist with the management of facility assets and provision of infrastructure and inventory asset management as directed.
