AWS Data Centre Operations Engineer

This is a Data Centre Operations role with Amazon (AWS) in AU, where you'll work with a leading company to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers.
As a Data Centre Technician in Sydney, you'll be the senior resolver for your support team, troubleshooting and solving complex infrastructure issues. You'll create and maintain documentation on the technologies you support and be the primary escalation point for junior staff.
Key responsibilities include installing and configuring racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs, diagnosing and repairing issues for server, storage and network devices, and participating in Data Centre power & cooling events.
This position requires shift work (4 days on and 4 days off including night shifts on a rotational basis) and a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment using our lifting equipment. A valid driver's license and own vehicle to travel between sites are also necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS include 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience, 1+ years of computer networking experience, and a high school or equivalent diploma. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS include experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
