Data Center Engineer, Electrical Systems Expert

Award-winning Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a highly skilled Data Center Engineer, Electrical Systems Expert to join its dynamic team in Sydney. As an integral member of our mission-critical infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining the electrical systems of our data centers.
We are looking for a talented professional with a strong background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in industrial or commercial engineering. Your expertise should include the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of mission-critical facilities, particularly data centers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement electrical systems for new data center builds, including power distribution units, uninterruptible power sources, and cooling systems.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain data center designs that meet AWS's high standards for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop and implement technical solutions to improve data center performance, energy efficiency, and overall system reliability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal policies related to electrical systems and data center operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.At least 6 years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering, preferably in mission-critical facilities like data centers, power generation, oil, and gas facilities.Proven track record of successful project delivery, with a focus on quality, safety, and timeliness.Familiarity with building management systems, continuous operating redundant electrical systems, and cooling systems.Why Join Amazon?
