
Senior Business Development Manager

The team focuses on addressing small businesses' challenges and issues, providing relevant information to help them understand disputes.
Dispute resolution includes alternative dispute resolution and promoting better practice to avoid issues and disputes.
Team members are passionate about helping small businesses and work collaboratively within a flat structure.
The Assistant Director provides leadership guidance to Case Managers and contributes to the Office's future direction.
We have broad powers to support small businesses, gather information, and recommend ways to resolve disputes.
The Team works on innovative approaches to dispute resolution and integrating services across various industries.
Responsibilities:- Providing direct assistance for complex cases
- Consulting with stakeholders on small business matters related to dispute resolution and better practice
- Providing decision-making support based on understanding legislation, policy, and procedures
- Case allocation and quality assurance with individual case managers
- Canvassing approaches to resolve disputes
- Supervising and developing direct reports
- Producing quality assured case information required for reporting
- Contributing to scripting and quality assurance of our information line and support resources
- Commissioning and managing mediator and lawyer services

Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, including Business, Law, Economics or other fields
- Relevant business experience or tertiary qualification considered favourably
- Small business experience, peak industry body and/or government relationship experience considered favourably
