About the Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and driven Graduate Procurement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement process, from preparing documents to evaluating submissions.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing procurement documents, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies.
  • Coordinate the publishing of tenders, quotations, and Expressions of Interest, including issuing addenda and clarifications.
  • Utilize electronic procurement systems to manage submissions, maintaining accurate records throughout the evaluation process.
  • Support the preparation of procurement recommendation reports and contract documents, adhering to Council approvals.
  • Maintain procurement resources, including contract registers and user guides for panel contracts.
  • Provide routine and ad hoc procurement support to business units, ensuring effective procurement practices and compliance.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline relevant to the role.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Desirable skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office, organisational and adaptable communication skills, confidence when engaging with stakeholders, self-motivation, a willingness to learn, and a positive approach to challenges.
