Job Overview

We are seeking a Logistics and Supply Chain professional to fill this full-time permanent position in South-West Sydney.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient coordination of freight negotiations and procurement operations, while being exposed to our wider business environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate in Supply Chain or Logistics with some experience or exposure to logistics and freight related environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate freight providers to secure optimal rates and service levels.
  • Develop and execute transportation procurement strategies to meet business needs and minimize costs.
  • Manage service agreements and operational procedures with freight providers, ensuring compliance with company expectations and legal requirements.
  • Provide advice on road, rail, or alternate domestic freight inquiries.
  • Monitor delivery requirements to conform to company standards.
  • Coordinate and assist in the administration and maintenance of records and files for efficient operations.
Requirements:
  • Recent graduate in Supply Chain or Logistics with relevant experience or exposure.
  • Understanding of Compliance and Fatigue Management (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Load Restraint and Dangerous Goods Regulatory Handling and Storage legislation (desirable)
  • Strong analytical skills with data analysis experience and report building capabilities.
  • Negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
