How to Apply
- Demonstrate the application of professional and ethical boundaries in the delivery of patient care in the context of a multidisciplinary team and the application of evidence-based practice, trauma informed care and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person-centred care patient care.
- Demonstration of effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills within a multidisciplinary team and Provide evidence in court as requested within the scope of the nurse's expertise based on training and experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competency of skills, with a willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
- Demonstrated capacity to participate and provide timely responses as a forensic medical examiner in a multidisciplinary team providing 24/7 on call responses to violence, abuse and neglect.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of; Child Protection Policy and Procedures in NSW Health and issues relating to Young People and Adults affected by Sexual Assault.
- Willingness to complete Graduate Certificate in Medical Forensic Management of Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence and Medical Forensic Photography and Providing a Medical and Forensic Response to DFV (nationally recognised).
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
