This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operation of building services across various facilities, ensuring the integrity and maintenance of all buildings within the department's responsibility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing reactive/corrective, preventative, and statutory maintenance programs; supervising refurbishment works; and overseeing projects that impact physical infrastructure.
The position also entails managing and supervising building-related trades, promptly addressing work orders, and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
The level of responsibility and accountability is proportional to the size, distribution, and complexity of the allocated portfolio.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Tertiary qualifications in Building/Construction or extensive experience in the building industry with relevant trade qualifications/licences and a SafeWork White Card.
- Demonstrated project management capability for building works and contract management, including scope development, cost estimation/control, procurement, and supervision of internal/external refurbishments/projects.
- Experience in managing planned or corrective maintenance programming in complex environments, such as healthcare or industrial settings.
- Expertise in maintenance and operation of hydraulic systems and regulatory compliance, safe work practices, standards, and codes of practice.
- A valid Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
