Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Sourcing Manager to join our team at Talent International.

About the Role:

  • This is a 3-month contract position based in the CBD location of a Government Department.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for running the procurement activity to secure a vendor.

Responsibilities:

  • Influence policy and procedures covering the selection of vendors.
  • Ensure that terms and conditions are aligned with current legislation and policy.
  • Lead the procurement process, from clarifying requirements through to placing, monitoring, and terminating contracts.
  • Identify where changes are required, evaluates the impact, and advises stakeholders about the implications and consequences for the business and/or the procurement element of programmes/projects.
  • Actively supports and engages with experts and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvements are identified through review and benchmarking processes.
  • Manage a team of sourcing staff to support day-to-day running of ICT Sourcing team.
  • Monitors and reports on supplier performance, customer satisfaction, and market intelligence.
  • Implement and manage a delivery and reporting framework.
  • Manage financial risk including limitation of liabilities, indemnities and warranties and their impact.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in IT Contract management and/or Procurement role, specifically in securing a vendor for an IT system implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a Procurement and Contract Management function in a corporation or government department.
  • Proven complex procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement benefits including financial savings.
  • Strong understanding and application of the procurement and contract management framework as it applies to the Victorian Government public sector, is highly desirable.
  • Ability in the leadership, management and development of a team, is desirable.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
