An exciting opportunity exists for an Advanced Child Protection Practitioner to work with our Rural After Hours Team.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Child Protection Practitioner to join our team in Bendigo. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and assessing reports of alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people, undertaking investigations, and developing plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability, and development of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk assessment and analysis: gathering information through various sources and technologies to identify, articulate, and plan for risks relating to each situation.
  • Case planning review and case management: drawing insights from assessment and analysis to formulate a meaningful and effective case plan, and reviewing case progress and outcomes.
  • Critical enquiry: using evidence-based frameworks to investigate issues and understand the root cause of each issue as well as the potential implications.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are required for this role:

  • Advanced degree in social work or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in child protection work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
