Family Support Specialists play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of families with young individuals having complex disabilities.

**Job Summary**: Our organisation seeks an experienced professional to undertake comprehensive family assessments, identify support requirements and implement strategies to promote positive family functioning. The position involves building on family strengths, fostering resilience and parenting capacity through flexible outreach visits and tailored interventions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the disability sector and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). They will also have a formal qualification in social work or welfare studies and be able to navigate the NDIS through secondary consultation, information sharing, education sessions and specialist support.

**Responsibilities**:

  • Conduct comprehensive family assessments to identify support requirements
  • Implement strategies to promote positive family functioning
  • Build on family strengths, resilience and parenting capacity

**Requirements**:
