
Family Relationships Specialist

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families by providing tailored support based on their unique needs.
Your Role:You will work with families to enhance communication, parenting skills, and conflict management using evidence-based approaches.
The aim is to create positive and nurturing family environments for vulnerable children and young people at risk of being placed in alternative care arrangements.
You will focus on preventing family breakdown by interrupting negative patterns of behaviour that can lead to escalations within family units.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct home sessions with families in an outreach capacity
- Support families with complex needs, including trauma, mental health issues, substance abuse, and family violence
- Develop positive, strength-based relationships with families through effective communication
- Reduce conflict and increase hope within family environments
- Identify how family interactions affect individual behaviour
- Engage with family's formal and informal support networks
A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field in behavioural sciences is required. Diploma holders with significant experience working with families may also be considered.
