Data Centre Maintenance Specialist

This role is integral to AWS Infrastructure Services, overseeing the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
About the PositionWe are seeking a Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) to join our diverse team of professionals, including software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
As an EOT, you will serve as Amazon's front line responders for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation. You will provide 24/7 shift coverage which could include 12 hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day work weeks.
Key Responsibilities- Review routine and corrective maintenance on critical systems such as switch gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses & prepare reports on facility infrastructure operations & maintenance.
- Collaborate in the design, implementation, commissioning, and build out of new facilities.
- Create projects to enhance current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
