Job Title: Data Centre Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled technician to join our team at a data centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our critical systems, including diesel power generators, HVAC and fire suppression systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage routine and corrective maintenance on critical systems such as switch gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Support the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
  • Create and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability and reliability.
  • Manage facility assets and provision of infrastructure and inventory asset management.
  • Manage on-site contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring all work performed observes established practices, procedures and local legislation.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or technical certification in Mechanical/HVAC/Electrical engineering or experience at technician level in a critical environment. They will also have 2+ years of maintenance experience on mechanical or electrical equipment and experience operating electrical or mechanical systems in a mission-critical environment.
