Infrastructure Operations Specialist

As an Infrastructure Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in the design, planning, delivery, and operation of data centre infrastructure. You will work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting supply chain operations and collaborate with experts to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review the management of routine and corrective maintenance on critical systems such as switch gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses & prepare reports on all aspects of data centre infrastructure operations & maintenance.
  • Help with the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
  • Create and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.
  • Manage facility assets and provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.
  • Manage the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed observes established practices, procedures & local legislation.
About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to gain diverse experience working in dynamic environments across various locations. As part of your onboarding, you will rotate through different sites to complete training and prepare for deployment in a data centre region.

Basic Qualifications
  • Degree or technical certification (Military or Trade school), with Mechanical/HVAC/Electrical engineering or experience at technician level in a critical environment.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience on mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Experience operating electrical or mechanical systems in a mission-critical environment (i.e. Data Centre, telecom, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to participate in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster.
  • 2+ years of operations experience in a data centre or critical environment.
  • Experience with the development of MOPs & SWMS for planned works.
  • Familiar with Service Management systems (Problem & Change).
  • Ability to prioritise multiple requests in complex, fast-paced environments.
