Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our team in driving our Major Gift Program and Gifts in Wills (GIW) Program to new heights. As a key member of our Fundraising team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to secure vital funding for our mission.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for both the Major Gift Program and GIW Program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop and execute forecasts and budgets for major gifts and bequests to support sustainable growth and financial stability.
- Fundraising Goals: Lead efforts to secure $250,000 in new major donor funding within the first year, driving revenue growth and expanding our donor base.
- Donor Engagement: Provide expert guidance on major donor and GIW fundraising techniques and best practices, ensuring effective stewardship and relationship-building with key stakeholders.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive research, cultivate relationships, solicit gifts, and steward donors effectively, leveraging data-driven insights to inform fundraising strategies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other fundraising colleagues to maximize potential through coordinated efforts, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across teams.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with major donors and bequestors, fostering trust and loyalty through exceptional service and personalized engagement.
- 5 years of experience in a similar role in philanthropic and bequest giving in the NFP/NGO sector in Australia.
- A valid Police Check or the ability to obtain one.
- Exceptional communication skills, including writing compelling proposals and stewardship reports, and presenting information to high-profile stakeholders.
- Proven ability in developing and executing gift plans, achieving fundraising targets with a results-oriented approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships across diverse sectors and senior levels.
- Advanced organizational abilities, proficient in project management, multitasking, forecasting, budgeting, and maintaining accurate records in databases like Salesforce.
- A strong commitment and enthusiasm towards the purpose of OzHarvest Food Rescue Coordinator SA.
