Youth and Family Case Manager Job Description

As a Youth and Family Case Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing vital support to young people and families in need. Your dedication and passion for this field will be essential in making a positive impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resourcing parents to protect and care for their children, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Developing practical skills in accessing housing and household management, as well as budgeting, to empower them to manage their finances effectively.
  • Building confidence in parenting and stress management, enabling parents to navigate challenging situations with ease.
  • Facilitating access to local services that promote child and youth development, health, and education, creating opportunities for growth and success.
  • Supporting young people to prevent disengagement and vulnerability, fostering a sense of security and belonging.
  • Improving communication and partnerships between parents and children, strengthening relationships and promoting harmony.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possession of relevant Certificate/Diploma/Tertiary qualifications or experience working in the Child, Youth & Family space.
  • At least 2 years of Complex Case Management experience in the Child, Youth & Family sector.
  • A Blue Card (paid) and an NDIS Worker Screening Card or ability to obtain.
  • A Current QLD Driver's Licence and Vaccination for Covid-19 (2 doses).
