Our Family Support Specialist role is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of families.

Families are at the heart of everything we do, and as a Family Support Specialist, you will work closely with them to understand their unique needs and develop strategies to address them.

Your goal will be to empower families to take control of their own lives, making positive changes that will have a lasting impact on their well-being.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in social work or a related field, who is passionate about working with families and has the skills and experience to deliver effective support.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with families and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • BUILDING PARENTING CAPABILITY: We want to help parents develop the skills and knowledge they need to raise happy, healthy children.
  • FACILITATING STRUCTURED FAMILY ROUTINES: By helping families establish routines and habits, we can improve household management, healthy eating, and quality family time.
  • IMPROVING PARENTAL WELLBEING: We know that parents' wellbeing is crucial to their ability to care for their children. We'll work with families to identify stressors and provide access to resources that can help manage stress and promote overall wellbeing.
  • ENSURING CHILD DEVELOPMENT: Our aim is to ensure all children meet developmental milestones, including access to paediatric medical services and specialist allied health supports.
  • IMPROVING FINANCIAL HEALTH: We believe that financial stability is essential for families to thrive. We'll work with families to identify employment and training opportunities that can help improve their financial situation.
  • SUPPORTING SCHOOL ATTENDANCE AND EDUCATIONAL ENGAGEMENT: We want to help families prioritize education and support children in achieving their full potential.

Requirements:
