Adolescent Development Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking casual Adolescent Support Workers to provide individualised 24/7 support for young people living in our Deniliquin program. Our young people come from a background of trauma and we are looking for people who will work with their strengths to see them thrive.
A Typical Day
- Building and developing independent living skills.
- Assisting with household duties.
- Encouraging achievement of goals.
- Transporting young people to and from appointments.
- Daily care and support.
- Assist with engagement in education & extracurricular activities such as sport or art.
- Supporting connection to family & culture.
- Utilising support from internal & external specialist services such as Speech Therapists & Behaviour Support Practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a consistent and considered person-centred approach to the direct care of young people who reside in residential care, ensuring individual needs are met.
- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention, maintain a safe and welcoming home environment, and encourage young people to develop their social and living skills.
