Adolescent Support Worker

About the Role

We are seeking support workers to provide individualised 24/7 care for young people living in a residential program.

Our goal is to empower these individuals by working with their strengths and promoting personal growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centred support to young people residing in residential care, focusing on individual needs and well-being.
  • Provide emotional support and crisis intervention, maintain a safe home environment, and encourage young people to develop life skills.
  • Participate in household and daily duties, attend team meetings, and engage in ongoing training and development.

Requirements
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and well-being of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Hold qualifications in Residential Care or related fields, such as Community Services or Welfare.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience in delivering trauma-informed care and behaviour management strategies.
  • A positive attitude towards engaging with young people in a nurturing environment under a therapeutic model.
  • Ability to manage household duties and work independently.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and sleepovers.
