Westgold Resources is a leading gold producer in Western Australia, shaping the future of mining. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Operations Engineer to join our team.

This role will be based at our Beta Hunt Operation in the Southern Goldfields and offered on a family-friendly 8 days on, 6 days off roster. The ideal candidate will have experience in mine planning and underground shift management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and physical data to optimize mining methods.
  • Monitor mine performance, ensuring production targets and safety compliance.
  • Analyze operational data to assess KPIs and cost metrics, aligning activities with objectives.
  • Forecast physicals and cost performance using historical data, trends, and mine planning models.
  • Optimize equipment utilization by reviewing machinery performance and liaising with the maintenance team.
  • Conduct operational audits to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
  • Provide technical training to support team adoption of best practices and operational standards.
  • Ensure safety compliance by identifying and mitigating risks, upholding safety protocols in underground mining activities.
