Lead Mining Specialist

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mining Specialist to join our team.
  • This role involves spearheading business improvement initiatives by collecting and analyzing key performance indicators, physical data, and cost metrics in relation to the budget and mine plan.

This position will be based at one of our operations in Western Australia. The key responsibilities include:

  • Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Monitoring: Tracking and analyzing mining cost metrics, monitoring mine performance to ensure production targets and safety compliance.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzing operational data to align activities with objectives, forecasting physicals and cost performance using historical data, trends, and mine planning models.
  • Process Optimization: Optimizing mining methods to improve techniques, advising the technical team on mine design and ground support systems.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Evaluating equipment utilization to review machinery performance and liaise with the maintenance team to optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Audit and Reporting: Conducting operational audits to audit processes, preparing reports, and proposing improvements for efficiency.
  • Training and Development: Providing technical training to support team adoption of best practices and operational standards.
  • Safety Management: Ensuring safety compliance by identifying and mitigating risks while upholding safety protocols in underground mining activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mine planning and/or UG shift management, demonstrate behavior consistent with our company values, and possess excellent communication skills.
