We are seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead the safe and efficient extraction of gold at our underground operations.

Lead Safe Gold Extraction

This pivotal role requires leading a team of engineers to develop and deliver production plans covering drilling, charging and remote bogging activities.

The position is based at Beta Hunt Mine – Kambalda and offers a permanent 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

Our mine uses conventional underground mining methods and aims for increased production rates with improved mined material transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, supervise and implement weekly drill and blast activities with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Own, plan and manage the 3MS process using Deswik IS.
  • Ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of drill and blast standards to optimize recovery and minimize dilutions.
  • Promote a high-performance culture by actively coaching and providing feedback to engineers.
  • Assist with a range of operational tasks, including fulfilling statutory responsibilities when required.
Requirements:
  • Strong level in mining software (Deswik IS, Deswik CAD) and Microsoft tools.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • People Management skills.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a strategic approach to continuous improvement.
  • Current Western Australian Class C Driver's License.
  • National Police Clearance.
