About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Recovery Outreach Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to communities impacted by disasters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify community needs
  • Provide financial grants and connect residents with relevant information
  • Refer clients to services and advocate on their behalf
  • Maintain databases and online booking systems
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders
  • Attend meetings and events across the region
  • Participate in team activities and contribute to overall team effectiveness

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">

- A minimum qualification of Diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g. Community Services Work) or significant relevant experience

">

- High level of written and verbal communication skills, including good empathetic listening skills

">

- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

">

- Demonstrate commitment to quality customer/client service

">

- Ability to multitask

">

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

">

- Experience in Community Support Services is highly regarded

">

- National police record check and Working with Children Check required

">
