**Job Summary:**

This is a fixed-term position until 30 June 2026.

The role involves working in a flexible location, either metro or any regional office location.

You will be responsible for undertaking property insurance and disaster recovery funding arrangements claims for natural disasters that have impacted Victoria's arterial road network from the October 2022 flood and storm event, and subsequent events.

Key duties include:

  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders across departments, agencies and external contractors.
  • Assessing and compiling claims to meet the department's property insurance and disaster recovery process from natural disasters since the October 2022 flood and storms.
  • Being a collaborative and supportive member of the claims assessing team.
  • Implementing, refining and providing continuous improvement to the property insurance claims process alongside contractors and internal resources.
  • Providing management with accurate and authoritative advice when required.
  • Proactively supporting emerging priorities with an agility to shift focus to respond to reactive issues and risks to support requirements of management.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • A relevant tertiary degree in business, engineering or public policy or extensive relevant experience.
  • Experience in insurance claims or general process management would be beneficial.
  • Driver's License.
  • May involve occasional overnight travel.
