Job Title:

Compliance Officer

The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Building Control, Environmental Health or related field. They must demonstrate experience and competent knowledge in control and management of building and environmental health; compliance with development consents pursuant to legislation; and activities that protect the amenity, safety and convenience of the community.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of professionals ensuring relevant legislation, policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Exercise relevant authority and lead decision making in a professional manner pursuant to position delegations.
  • Drive operational business improvements in the team whilst liaising with other business units.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Building Control, Environmental Health or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience and competent knowledge in control and management of building and environmental health.
  • Current certification in Building Professional Board A1.
