Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our regulatory delivery unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring that individuals and businesses comply with environmental laws and regulations.
The Opportunity
As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Attending and planning on-road motor vehicle compliance activities, including joint operations with law enforcement agencies;
- Processing reports related to motor vehicle pollution, received from staff, other Government agencies, and the community;
- Preparing correspondence related to motor vehicle compliance matters, including responses to community inquiries;
- Responding to enquiries and providing advice on regulatory and compliance issues;
- Participating in on-road motor vehicle compliance activities and attending court as a witness for the prosecution of alleged offences.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Experience in drafting accurate and timely submissions, reports, and letters;
- In-depth knowledge of environmental protection legislation and regulations;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
