We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the management of statutory and essential services compliance across our Sydney CBD precinct, encompassing multiple high-profile assets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee fire safety and critical systems compliance, ensuring timely preparation and submission of Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFSS).
- Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing any discrepancies and driving ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance building compliance programs using MyBuildings, a cutting-edge compliance platform.
- Audit and improve preventative maintenance strategies for critical building services.
- Support strategic planning for major plant and equipment replacements and upgrades.
- Mentor and assist Maintenance Managers and Chief Engineers in ensuring effective compliance execution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with consultants and specialist contractors.
- Contribute to our organization's sustainability and WHS goals.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, facilities management, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in managing building compliance, statutory services, and risk mitigation.
- Detailed knowledge of Australian Building Codes, Fire Safety Regulations, and AFSS compliance requirements.
- Experience working across diverse multi-site portfolios, preferably in hospitality, entertainment, or commercial sectors.
- Familiarity with compliance software and asset management systems (e.g., MyBuildings).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Capex project support and contractor management experience highly regarded.
