Wildland Fire Mitigation Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a Wildland Fire Mitigation Specialist to join our team at nrmjobs.com.au. This role is responsible for assisting with the implementation of fuel reduction activities, including burning and other bushfire risk mitigation activities.
About the Role
This is a 73.5-hour-per-fortnight position that involves working on various projects to reduce the risk of bushfires in our region. The successful applicant will have a Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting Operations) or be willing to undertake this qualification.
Key Requirements
- Must not have any serious criminal offences, particularly those related to arson, sexual offences, dishonesty, deception, making false declarations, violent crimes, malicious damage, trafficking of narcotic substances, or raising false alarms.
Desirable Requirements
- A Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting Operations)
- A First Aid Certificate
- A Current Full C Drivers Licence
Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this role is around $60,000 - $80,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful applicant will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and training.
