About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Wildfire Mitigation Specialist to join our team at NRM Environmental jobs. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of fuel reduction activities and other initiatives related to bushfire risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of fuel reduction burning and other mitigation activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and prioritize areas for fuel reduction and mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including landowners, community groups, and government agencies.

Essential Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting Operations) or be willing to undertake the qualification. Additionally, they should hold a current Full C Drivers Licence and have a First Aid Certificate. Pre-employment checks will be conducted to ensure the candidate's suitability for the role.

Desirable Requirements

  • A certificate in a related field, such as fire management or conservation biology.
  • Experience working in a similar role or industry.
