Salary: $73.5 per hour (fortnightly rate)



About the Role


As a Wildfire Prevention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the implementation of fuel reduction activities. This includes conducting fuel reduction burning and other activities related to bushfire risk mitigation. Your expertise will help us protect our natural resources and prevent devastating wildfires.



Key Responsibilities



  • Assist in planning and executing fuel reduction activities to mitigate bushfire risks
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement effective strategies for reducing fuel loads and preventing wildfires
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess and monitor fuel reduction progress


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of wildfire prevention principles and practices. You should also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Desirable Qualifications



  • Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting Operations) or capacity to undertake Certificate II Public Safety
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current Full C Drivers Licence
